Job Opportunity: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care

Location: Utica, New York

Contract Type: Travel or Local (75-mile radius rule applies)

Shift:Evenings, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

Hours: 37.5 guaranteed hours per week

Schedule: Every other weekend required

Position Summary

A long-term care facility in New York is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate and skilled care to residents across multiple units within the same building. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support patients with chronic and memory-related conditions in a collaborative and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans
• Float between units to ensure consistent coverage and quality care
• Document patient information using PointClick Care EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident well-being
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Active New York LPN license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care or similar setting
• Current BLS certification
• Willingness to float to all units within the building
• Experience with MS, orthopedic, dementia, and memory care populations
• Familiarity with PointClick Care EMR preferred

• 40-bed unit with diverse patient needs
• Travel candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a local rate
